Krista & Ian's Latitude 41 Wedding in Mystic, CT
Ian first reached out to me about his and Krista's wedding day, which took me by surprise since I normally hear from the bride. It was such a pleasant surprise, as I got to chat a little with both of them before we started planning photography for their big day. At the time they reached out, I was still living in Boston, and they live just south. It was such a nice coincidence, as they were having their wedding just minutes away from where I was moving to.
A little back story of the couple, they originally met their freshman year of college. Krista went to high school with his college roommate and after being friends for about 6 months, they started dating. After graduation, Ian and Krista went to San Francisco and Sonoma for their first vacation together with Krista's family. While in Sonoma, they visited one of their favorite wineries. They were surprised when they ended up on a private tour. They started with a little tasting that overlooked the vineyard and Ian proposed in front of her entire family.

Krista and Ian both started their day preparing at the Hyatt in Mystic, CT. They were both on separate floors, so there was no chance of seeing each other before the ceremony. Krista's mother helped her into her dress while her twin sister helped with the final touches. Ian's best man and brother helped him into his suit and helped pin his boutonnière.
After everyone finished getting ready, it was time to head to the chapel. Their wedding ceremony took place at The Pequot Chapel in New London, CT. Pastor Joe Parise officiated the ceremony. After Krista and Ian shared their first kiss as Mr & Mrs, it was time to head to Latitude 41 for their reception.
While the ladies freshened up in the bridal suite, the groom and his groomsmen shared a drink at the Shipyard bar. We headed to the Mystic Seaport and took some photos with the bridal party. Afterwards, I strolled through the Seaport with Krista and Ian to take some breathtaking portraits. When we were finished, we headed to the cocktail hour where everyone enjoyed drinks and good conversation.
The rest of the night was magical, where everyone enjoyed good food and awesome dance moves on the dance floor. The DJ, Jacob, played all the best hits and everyone had a great time dancing the night away!
Thank you so much, Krista and Ian, for having me apart of your beautiful wedding day! I hope you two enjoy a lifetime of love, laughter and a happily ever after!
A huge thank you to Jessica Parsons for assisting me during this beautiful weekend! I couldn't have done it without her.
