As some of you may know, back in early August, my family welcomed a new member into our family. Everyone, meet Archer! We are so in love and so thankful that he's apart of our family. Now that we've had some time to cuddle and get to know one another, it's time to get back into the studio. I look forward to getting back to working with you all! Reach out, say hello!
Paige & Alan's wedding day was not only beautiful, but unique. Their ceremony was full of surprises, as well as traditions, orchestrated by Paige's aunt who officiated. Their wedding took place at the beautiful Owenego Inn & Beach Club on a beautiful September afternoon. Their friends and family gathered around for a water front ceremony, and ended the evening at the beach club for dinner, drinks, and great times.
Kim & Nha's wedding was a day full of beautiful ceremonies and traditions celebrated by their closest friends and loved ones. They both spent many, many months carefully planning this day with their families and it turned out absolutely perfect! Their day started off with two traditional Vietnamese tea ceremonies in their homes, followed by a Catholic ceremony at the St. Lawrence O'Toole church, ending with a reception at The Riverview.
Since we moved to Connecticut, I kept hearing about the beautiful sunflower fields that were tucked away in the country side just shy of Norwich. I knew I had to go out there and photograph the flowers in all their glory. Rebekah is a sweet friend of mine who I met when asking for a local sitter. She quickly became a friend of mine, and I knew that she and her daughter would be perfect models for my sunflower experiment. We had a blast strolling through the isles of sunflowers, watching the children ride the tractor and smelling the delicious waffle cones for the local ice cream in the air. The weather was a perfect 70 degrees and it seemed as if the sun was smiling down on us. If you're ever in the area, make sure to stop by Buttonwood Farms in Griswold, CT for a fun family evening.
A few weeks ago, I took a trip to Raleigh, North Carolina to visit a very close friend of mine. As some of you know, I'm expecting our second baby sometime next month and thought it would be a fun treat to get away for a few days before our littlest baby arrives. We decided to go to Downtown Raleigh one day while I was there to explore, as I've never been before. I brought along my camera and snapped a few headshots for Brittany while I was there. I love how bright, vibrant and alive Raleigh is. I am looking forward to coming back and seeing more soon!
When I made the move to Connecticut, all the local wedding vendors were telling me about how wonderful The Lace Factory was, and how I would be very lucky to photograph a wedding there. Little did they know, Alli & Billy had asked me earlier in the year if I'd be interested in photographing their wedding that just so happened to be at The Lace Factory. I was ecstatic! Not only was I excited to spend the day and photographing this great couple, but I was also getting a chance to photograph this beautiful venue.
Linda and Dan's wedding day was full of tears, laughter, and love. It was a truly beautiful day that was celebrated by all of their closest family and friends. Originally planned to be much larger, Linda and Dan decided to go for a more intimate wedding located at a close friend's home in Charlestown, Rhode Island. They made a fantastic choice! Everything was perfect, from the ceremony to the portraits to the reception. Linda is an event planner; all her hard work and organization definitely shined through.
S & K's beautiful, small wedding vow renewal was something all brides truly dream of. It was a day that was truly devoted to the bride and groom. Although intimate, all the details were perfectly arranged with a minimalistic flair, with a European influence. ROÌA Restaurant and Cafe was the perfect venue, supplying beautiful architecture and artwork that left everyone in awe.
This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Baby Brynn and her family. I headed to South Boston for the morning to spend time with the family of four. The newborn session couldn't have gone anymore perfect! Brynn was an absolute doll. She slept great through the entire session and even gave us a smile or two.
I traveled up to Maine to visit my sweet friend, Candida, after she gave birth to her second son, Wyatt. While there, we decided it was a great time to take a few newborn portraits, as he was still just a few days old. We decided to go with natural earth tones, as their whole home reflected in beautiful neutrals, tans, oranges and greens.
